
"Talking about silence" is the 2nd joint work of the co-production of the Helios Theater from Hamm with the Ishyo Arts Centre from Rwanda/Kigali. The piece deals with "silence" – in families, in neighborhoods, in society. In both countries, Rwanda and Germany, the topic has great significance due to their respective specific past. Speaking about it seemed essential to all involved.

"wide awake" – 11th International Theater Festival for Young Audiences
From May 17 to 25, the Helios Theater invites productions for young audiences from all over the world to Hamm and the surrounding area to create memorable theater experiences. Every two years, "wide awake" brings together international artists to present theater for everyone on stage. Since 2002, the festival has created space for encounters and exchange.
Isyho Arts Centre
The Ishyo Arts Centre is a cultural center for literature, music, visual arts, and theater. Founded in 2007 by a group of eight women, it was the first cultural center in the capital city of Kigali. It carries out multifaceted development work to reach a broad audience as well as to develop the various arts.
