On stage stands a construction made up of several levels, doors open and close, four performers enter the space, traverse it, their paths cross and the perfectly coordinated choreography rapidly picks up speed. Soon the four are running, climbing to great heights, carrying and tumbling over each other, pushing off and catching one another, while all around them the entire set begins to sway. In the installation of walls and doors that rotate, float, tilt, and must constantly be recalibrated, a constant struggle for balance unfolds. Every step carries the risk of falling. Every moment demands absolute vigilance. Every touch negotiates the relationship between closeness and distance. Independence and community become a balancing act:

Individual striving and the necessity to trust one another are continuously re-evaluated. The dynamic set pushes the artists to their limits time and again, the swinging doors become thresholds at which they must decide – for the step into the unknown or for the pause in safety. And time and again it becomes palpable: The dizzying inclinations of their world can only be balanced together. “Exit” is a daring flirtation with risk, a poetic dance on the edge of losing balance, and a wonder of acrobatic precision.
