What does collective authorship mean? How is the relationship between theater makers and criticism shaped? What is fact and what is fiction? In the Thuringian province, a collective of actors is searching for a theme for a performance that should attract as much attention as possible beyond the region. Since that is already a challenge, they decide to use the "dog poop attack" of a choreographer on a critic as a basis: a true event that went through the media for several weeks and was regarded as an attack on press freedom and democratic culture. During rehearsals, they become afraid of becoming personae non gratae themselves and get into a dispute that threatens to tear the collective apart.
After the performance, critics and the ensemble discuss the piece publicly, as well as the interconnections and interactions between art and art criticism. The conversation is moderated by Anna Hoffmeister.
