The author Nele Stuhler and the director FX Mayr have jointly developed a comedy that deals with opposites – or better: a word score that moves from the very fundamental "Yes – No," "Light – Dark," "Here – Away" to the hot topics of the present. Hilarious, musical, and poetic, Nele Stuhler designs sequences of words that question the depths of everyday life ("Breakfast or not") just as much as the very big global situation ("War or not"). Three performers enact this concert of definitions ("I – You"), divisions ("Belly – Brain"), and evaluations ("Cool – Uncool"). They complement and contradict each other, associating from the metropolis to the microbiome and leading the need for constant classification ("Everything will be fine – Everything will get worse") to the absurd. What is rehearsed is nothing less than dialogue in its clearest form and all its beauty.
For a year, Nele Stuhler and FX Mayr were able to work on a text together in the Mülheim StückeWerkstatt. An excerpt of it was seen at the 47th Mülheimer Theatertage. On September 29, 2024, the play will have its world premiere at the Munich Residenztheater. With the guest performance at the 50th Mülheimer Theatertage, it returns to its place of origin. The Mülheimer StückeWerkstatt is a cooperation between the Mülheimer Theatertage and uniT Graz.
