Music is an "essential language" for violinist Guido Sant’Anna, born in 2005 in São Paulo, Brazil. At his debut concert as a stARTacademy scholarship holder, he is accompanied by the equally Brazilian Neojibá – Youth Orchestra of Bahia. The musicians from a support program for socially disadvantaged children and adolescents bring a passion and joy of playing to the stage that is often missing in Western ensembles – and at impressively high levels. With a contrasting program – Bernstein's "West Side Story" is included! – they want to express their joy of playing.

Jean Sibelius: Violin Concerto in D Minor op. 47
Leonard Bernstein: West Side Story: Symphonic Dances
