Düsseldorf Night of the Museums 2025

26.04.2025
On April 26, Düsseldorf will once again become the nocturnal art metropolis: 50 museums, studios, and off-spaces invite you to the Night of the Museums. Art meets music, literature meets light art – and it will also be colorful outside.

From street art to oil paintings, performances to DJ gigs: The Night of Museums in Düsseldorf reveals not only the diversity of the city's museums, galleries, and off-spaces but also its interdisciplinary art. A total of 50 locations invite you to experience their culture at night and with drinks. The large museums of the state capital open their doors just like small studios and galleries.

And the public space also becomes an art location. For example, a 180° mapping graphic motion technology transforms the Rheinturm into a projection surface for three artworks by Elena Panknin, a master student of the Düsseldorf Art Academy. While the Heinrich-Heine-Institut invites you to an evening full of literature (including a reading by Devid Striesow), the K21 art collection presents its new spaces and shows for the first time in Germany the work of Israeli artist Bracha Lichtenberg Ettinger. Musically, there will be events at the Düsseldorf Memorial and Remembrance Site, which will be accompanied by its new special exhibition on the 80th anniversary of the end of the war by the house band Heavy Gummi. During the Urban Art Walk in Bilk, visitors discover the street art of the district and trace the paths of the Düsseldorf graffiti scene.
