The soprano Dorothee Mields regularly leaves music critics beside themselves with enthusiasm: "Otherworldly perfection" has been attributed to her singing. She is not only an experience in the Baroque genre but in all epochs. Now she presents a bridge between the 18th and 20th centuries with the musicians of the G.A.P. Ensemble. The focus is on songs and chamber music by Joseph Haydn and Dmitri Shostakovich. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the death of the great Russian composer, his early piano trio and the moving "Seven Romances" for soprano and piano trio have been selected. From Haydn, the original instrument specialists of the G.A.P. Ensemble will perform his famous piano trio with Hungarian flair. Afterwards, Dorothee Mields follows the tracks of England fan Haydn with handpicked songs.
