Caroline Wahl is a guest for a conversation, and she also reads from her novel "Wind Force 17," Hanna Werth reads from "The Old Man and the Sea." Additionally, there is a concert by Pavel Efremov.

This event dances out of line: Together with the Literature Office OWL and the artists Caroline Wahl, Hanna Werth, and Pavel Efremov, the paths lead to the sea.

After her celebrated debut "22 Bahnen," the author Caroline Wahl continues the story of Tilda and Ida in her novel "Windstärke 17." This time from Ida's perspective, who leaves her childhood, the small town, and the outdoor pool with her battered hard-shell suitcase, ends up on Rügen, and battles a storm of anger, sorrow, and guilt of wind force 17 in her head. And in any weather, she is drawn to the sea; it is both a struggle and a rescue, where thoughts and pain flow out of her body. Caroline Wahl can be experienced in reading and conversation.

For the old fisherman from Ernest Hemingway's "The Old Man and the Sea," the sea is "la mar," the beloved, the great ocean with "friends and enemies." The actress Hanna Werth reads the story about the nearly epic battle between the fisherman Santiago and a giant marlin that the old man loves and yet wants to kill. Pavel Efremov accompanies the evening with the accordion, he comments, weaves, and lets the sea waves roll in at the summer theater.
