Antje Velsinger is known for her socially and politically engaged dance productions. At the center of "Their Future" is the question of the future of upcoming generations in light of the climate crisis.
The project is based on interviews with parents as well as with people who have consciously chosen against parenthood due to the climate crisis. The staging brings existential questions to the stage: How do we envision the future of the next generations? What feelings does this vision evoke? And how can resources and responsibility be distributed?
Three dancers and a singer move through changing climatic conditions and search for ways to cope with powerlessness, hope, and everyday management.
