first and further steps: "clause complex"

26.04.2025
The workshop of the writing workshop of the Lower Rhine Literary House combines literature and dance. Both disciplines aim to tell stories in motion.

In this workshop led by Marlene Jäger and Andreas Simon, two art forms come together that seem to have little in common at first glance: dance, which is entirely dedicated to expressing the body, and literature, which rarely transitions into movement, aside from writing and typing.

Using four stations, Krefeld dancer and choreographer Andreas Simon presents the history of dance in the 20th century. Participants will try out the movements presented themselves, leading to a small choreography by the end.

Afterward, the impressions will be discussed, and participants will consider how movement and expression can be transformed into text. Questions about showing and describing, body and body language, as well as tension and surprise will flow into the reflections and writing exercises.

A collaboration with the Lower Rhine Literature House and the project “Kopflüften.” Participation in the workshop is free in combination with the evening performance (€ 6,– / reduced € 4,–). Registration via: www.nlh-krefeld.de/veranstaltung/bewegt-erzaehlen
