"124 Years of Reverb" is an eight-hour work by composer and Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood. The organ sounds create an immersive sound space that makes every nook of the church vibrate with its history. The historic miners' cathedral will serve as a refuge for communal meditation. Two organists will explore the complete tonal spectrum of the 124-year-old Wilhelm Sauer organ. The Katernberg church will thus become a venue for the Ruhrtriennale for the first time. Visitors can immerse themselves in the dazzling sound space for the entire duration of eight hours or in two-hour segments.
Date:
