From punk to folk to indie-pop, the small wooden stage in the Glitterhouse Garden has seen everything. Over the Pentecoast weekend, 28 acts will take the stage and perform for around 3.000 guests. In addition to the musical acts, there will be readings by acclaimed authors Bela B and Thorsten Nagelschmidt. An extensive supporting program ensures that no one (not even the littlest guests) grow bored over the three days.
Music is obviously at the heart of the festival, but topics such as social and environmental sustainability as well as the current political climate in Germany and abroad are important to the entire OBS production team and crew.
This year's lineup includes, among others: King Hannah, Cari Cari, Engin, Gardens, Marathon, Shirley Holmes, and the annual surprise act, which is only known to a handful people in the production team and will open the last festival day.
Like few other festivals, the OBS offers all that is necessary for a family-friendly festival weekend. The distances are short, the grounds manageable and the line-up includes an act specifically for children. Children up to the age of 12 get free admission to the festival (of course they will need to be accompanied by an adult) and 13-18 year olds have access to cheaper youth tickets.
So: come and celebrate, as if there were a tomorrow!
