That their music is often subsumed under country is one of many examples of why it is not good to want to pigeonhole music. The Canadian Ora Cogan unites elements of psychedelic, indie and dream pop, and folk in her melancholic, ethereal songs – and if it is country at all, then something like goth country. To emphasize this diversity, her current album, which she is currently presenting on tour, is called "Formless." Formless. So not tangible. That fits: Ora Cogan is elusive – and that's exactly why she is so captivating.
