Holiday program at the LWL Roman Museum

14.04.2025 - 26.04.2025
Children aged eight to twelve can learn how the ancient Romans painted their walls in a workshop. In addition, there are activities for the whole family during the Easter holidays.

The colorful ancient frescoes may once have been found in Aliso, the Roman Haltern. But what colors were there and how were they used? During the holiday program "Roman Wall Painting," the children will get to the bottom of these questions and can be creative themselves (April 16, April 17, April 23 to April 25).

On Easter Sunday (April 20), it’s "On to the excavation, ready, set, go!" for the whole family: Participants in the event can visit a real excavation and try their hand as hobby archaeologists. On Easter Monday (April 21), no Easter eggs will be searched for at the Roman construction site Aliso. Nevertheless, the public tour "On the Wrong Track?" holds some surprises; it’s all about the topic of wood.
