Not only is the current world of work undergoing change, but also the old workplaces in Westphalia, particularly in the Ruhr area. The authors Anja Liedtke and Esra Canpalat set out to literarily explore the transformation of the industrial monument Kokerei Hansa into a recreational area. The Kokerei Hansa in Dortmund-Huckarde is representative of the approach to remaining sites. The industrial monument will no longer be a mix of wasteland and museum.

The author Esra Canpalat focuses on cultural and communicative memory; labor relations, the question of exclusion and cohesion are also at the center. Together with the audience, she will explore the area between the coking plant and the residential neighborhood and read from her newly created texts.

Anja Liedtke is an award-winning expert in Nature Writing. In her long-term observation, she addresses the question of wild and tamed nature. Together with the audience, she will explore the area between the coking plant and Deusenberg and read from her new texts, before engaging in discussion.

Two walks will take place, in April on the topic "Wild and Tamed Nature" with Anja Liedtke and in May with Esra Canpalat under the motto "Old Labor and Solidarity".
