Already Mozart and Goethe were thrilled by the singing of the gondoliers. Now star baritone Holger Falk steps into this Venetian leading role and invites, together with the early music ensemble nuovo aspetto, to an unforgettable boat trip through the lagoon city. For this, barcaroles and canzoni da battello have been selected from the centuries-old repertoire, in which entertaining folk songs are reflected just as much as the airy enjoyment of operatic art. And between a fiery tarantella and the possibly most famous gondola canzone "La biondina in gondoletta," even the true Venetian Vivaldi joins the boat!
