The Spanish ensemble MuOM takes its audience into the heavenly spheres of the seven planets known in the early modern period. And this is achieved through overtone singing, where the singers produce flute-like, otherworldly sounds. The infinite frequencies of the overtone series allow one to transcend the boundary between consciousness and the unconscious – a technique used in various cultures to connect with the divine. The exploration of the harmonic spheres expands in the concert through a musical journey to the planets with movements from Johann Sebastian Bach's "Goldberg Variations," performed by the string trio Meteor on historical instruments.
