"Nature Parks 24": Long Weekend of Nature Parks in NRW

Venu
For the third time, the twelve nature parks are opening their gates and offering a total of 24 events on May 24 and 25. The spectrum ranges from a wild herb cooking course in the Sauerland to a culinary hike in the Bergisches Land to stargazing in the North Eifel.

The area of the twelve NRW nature parks makes up almost 45 percent of the state's area. They stretch between the Lower Rhine and the Sauerland as well as the Eifel and the Teutoburg Forest. As vast as the terrain is, so diverse is the program of the long weekend: In the Dümmer Nature Park, there is a discovery journey under the motto "Forest, Moor, and More," while crime fans can expect an outdoor escape room adventure in the Hohe Mark Nature Park. In the Arnsberg Forest Nature Park, people with mobility restrictions can explore the Sauerland Forest Route with the Berge-Bus. And in the Schwalm-Nette Nature Park, one can learn a lot about the fascinating life of wild bees.

The organizer of the green weekend is the coordination office of the nature parks in NRW. All events are free of charge. However, interested parties must register with the respective nature parks by May 21.
