Experience Beethoven's 9th Symphony from the perspective of an orchestra musician, hit the timpani hard at a "Drum Battle," or showcase your singing talent at "Carpool Karaoke": all this and more acoustic somersaults are made possible by the Bonn exhibition "Music! Feel the Beat".
While the LVR-LandesMuseum Bonn promotes the wealth and venerable age of its collection with the motto "From the Stone Age to Today – Stories from 400,000 Years," the currently visible exhibition "Music! Feel the Beat" pays tribute to the participatory spirit of the times. The audience (children and teenagers up to 18 years old have free entry) is encouraged to become active and experience music in unusual ways. In addition to various sound sections, the museum has also set up a dance station. Here, one can step into the footsteps of various dance steps – from the medieval Saltarello to Hip-Hop.
The entertaining museum musical experience is rounded off by instruments from different times and cultures, as well as exhibits such as gramophones, radios, and MP3 players, through which the rapid development of music technology can be traced.
Running in parallel at the Bonn Bundeskunsthalle is the exhibition "Dance Worlds" – there is a combination ticket for visiting both presentations.
