Literature Quarter Festival 2025

26.04.2025
Location
Proust Buchhandlung
On World Book Day, the printed word is celebrated in Akazienallee - with readings and discussions.
Literature
Debut novel by Ines Habich-Milović
Ines Habich-Milović tells with "Your father has pockets full of cherries" about a love amidst stormy family members and a Montenegrin-German migration story.

The Literature Quarter Festival is organized among others by the Proust bookstore, the research network Correctiv, and the magazine kultur.west. And because real trees are missing on Akazienallee, self-built ones are set up for book picking.

There are readings with Rasha Khayat ("I am not coming back"), with Ines Habich-Milovic ("Your father has pockets full of cherries") or Feridun Zaimoglu, who brings his novel "Son without Father". In addition, cultural institutions and associations are invited to present themselves – the Ruhrtriennale will also be there.
