The after-work event at PACT is called "Duo:Thursday". As part of the new series, the choreographic center invites you to readings and concerts in the foyer on selected Thursdays. With drinks at the bar, inspiring texts, and electrifying sounds, Thursday already feels a bit like the weekend. In the second round, the essayist and playwright Enis Maci, born in Gelsenkirchen, and the band Smile from Cologne will be guests.
Enis Maci has been awarded multiple times for her plays and essays. At PACT, she will read from her recently co-authored novel "Pando" with Pascal Richmann. In it, they tell about places that inscribe themselves in memory long before one sets foot in them. Smile lightly demonstrates that post-punk can still sound refreshing while remaining experimental and quirky. The observations of US singer Rubee True Fegan merge with innovative, sensual guitar music.
