After the exit in the Rheinriff, the Kiesgrube makes a comeback on May 25, 2025, with a bang – and exactly where it all began: at Blankenwasser in Neuss. With HUGEL, Shimza, LP Giobbi, and NXN, one of the most significant open-air formats in the electronic music scene kicks off its 29th season.
“Ibiza on the Rhine”: That a club, a Sunday ritual, a cultural phenomenon is so deeply rooted in both the local and international scene that even politics and media are engaging in the discussion underscores the special relevance of the Kiesgrube. After months of silence, initiator Tom Preuss has carefully prepared the return, found new ways – and never lost the spirit. Now it is clear: The Kiesgrube lives on. And it returns with vision and energy.
The opening event on May 25 is just the beginning: For the 2025 season, international acts such as Black Coffee, Charlotte de Witte, Marco Carola, Joseph Capriati, The Martinez Brothers, Gordo, Seth Troxler, Dennis Cruz, DJ Tennis, and Tiga have already been announced. And underground giants like Palms Trax, Sedef Adasï, or Traumersorgen are also expected to provide musical diversity. The curated lineup remains true to the Kiesgrube tradition: between underground and accessibility, not too commercial and not too niche. The new stage design is being created entirely by hand by the in-house team – and the area at Blankenwasser has been extensively modernized.
