A school group wants to spend a weekend at Wendenstein Castle with their group leader. At the same time, detectives Schlau and Klug are to clarify for a real estate agent whether the castle could be considered as a future hotel, and whether the rumors about ghosts on the estate are actually true. However, the count and his daughter Ludmilla neither want to sell their castle nor do they like having student groups as guests. They would prefer to have their peace and quiet, but they also need the income. When the group wants to explore the castle late in the evening, strange things happen. The two detectives, who have laid in wait in the knights' hall, also find this concerning. Additional confusion is caused by the late-arriving group leader, who is searching for his group. Maiden Kunigunde is delighted by the change and the commotion and is reminded of past knightly times. After just a few hours in the castle, the student group, their group leader, and the two detectives want to return home as soon as possible.
For everyone, it is clear: Wendenstein Castle is haunted!
