Who the Antilopen Gang is, it probably hardly needs to be explained to anyone anymore: The rappers from Düsseldorf, Aachen, and a bit from Berlin are one of the most well-known rap bands of the present – which is likely due in part to their rap with attitude.
Unlike other German rap groups, the trio does not hide behind machismo, colloquial language, and pseudo-jokes, but instead sings against the zeitgeist of anti-empathy, the shift to the right, the resurgent anti-Semitism, and the spreading egoism among people with clever, sometimes humorous, sometimes sharp lyrics. Apart from that, the three prove live time and again that they can easily hold an audience in the palm of their hand and can even convert staunch punks and rockers into hip-hop believers.
