The 71st International Short Film Festival Oberhausen will take place from April 29 to May 4, 2025. Under the new leadership of Madeleine Bernstorff (she is responsible for the artistic part) and Susannah Pollheim (commercial director), around 500 short films from 60 countries will be presented. Under the motto "Detours to the Neighbor," the short film festival will focus particularly on the film history of the GDR.

Under new management: The Oberhausen Short Film Festival

After the departure of Lars Henrik Gass, Madeleine Bernstorff and Susannah Pollheim will jointly lead the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen.

Short Film Days: "Train to the Distance"
