Theater Krefeld Mönchengladbach

StageKrefeld
The oldest theater marriage in Germany was closed in 1950: On April 19, the cities of Krefeld and Mönchengladbach signed a theater contract.

Under the name "United Theaters Krefeld and Mönchengladbach," the three-branch house presents operas, plays, ballets, musicals, and children's and youth pieces at various venues. For example, in the city theater Krefeld, which opened in 1963 with 730 spectator seats designed by Hanoverian architect Gerhard Graubner.

The symphony concerts take place in the neighboring Silk Weaver House, and pieces that require more of a chamber play atmosphere can be realized on the studio stage of the Heeder Factory. The Lower Rhine Symphony Orchestra significantly contributes to the city's concert life with its musical activities.
