The Wuppertal Opera is the first concert hall in Germany to offer SoundShirts for the deaf or hard of hearing.

The "Dramma giocoso" about the womanizer is one of the most popular operas of all time. The dramatic finale, in which Don Giovanni descends into hell, is also the requiem of an era.
The live opera performance is recorded with microphones, the sound is then converted into contact data, and the signal is wirelessly transmitted to the SoundShirt. It then translates the sound into dynamic vibrations, making the music tangible. The performance is accompanied by subtitles – next time for “Don Giovanni” on June 28. There will already be a short rehearsal and introduction to the shirts on May 20.
