Literature without borders – that is what the Literary Summer stands for. For readings by German and Dutch authors in the Rhine-Maas region. Founded in 1999 by the cities of Krefeld, Mönchengladbach, and Neuss, around 20 partner cities in Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium now organize a joint program. In addition to readings, there are also discussions with translators and literature experts as well as literary walks.

Kicking off this time at the Leverkusen Forum on July 3, when Pieter Waterdrinker reads from "The Trash Can of Stories." The program also includes events with Willi Achten, Ewald Arenz, Jörg Hilbert, Katja Lange-Müller, or Dana von Suffrin.
