On the Iron Path: "Around the Luisenhütte" in the Sauerland Balve

SpecialBalve
The small town of Balve in the Märkisches Sauerland boasts an industrial monument that is of great importance to the mining and iron production history of the region. We are talking about the Luisenhütte. The culture enthusiast puts on hiking shoes and embarks on a roughly four-hour stroll around the historic hut ensemble, which was first put into operation in 1758. Along the route, the hiker encounters evidence of early industrialization, a noble water castle, and wonderful natural oases. Clearly visible hiking signs for the "Rundweg Luisenhütte" mark the way.
