In the portrait: Final destination cinema

Here, the former train station is now an important socio-cultural center, where concerts, comedy, parties, and workshops take place – and since 1988, the cinema Endstation has been located here. "Everything but mainstream" is the program motto. The numerous cooperation partners of the cinema also contribute to this: The municipal cinema of the VHS shows its program here just like the Museum Bochum, the organization "Interkultur Ruhr" of the RVR, the humanitarian Cuba aid, and the AIDS assistance utilize the hall for special film programs. Regularly, films are shown in the original version with subtitles.
