Dimitri Hegemann's Dortmund techno club "Tresor West" is one of the best addresses when it comes to electronic music - even beyond NRW.
Dimitri Hegemann, founder of the legendary Berlin "Tresor" club, wanted to open a branch of the techno club in the West nearly two decades ago. A decommissioned power plant near his birthplace Werl was planned as the location. Local politics put a stop to his plans at that time.
In 2019, Hegemann opened his "Tresor West" in Dortmund. In the basement of a hall on the grounds of the former Phoenix West steelworks, a club was created that impresses primarily with its top-notch sound and lighting technology. The "Tresor West" is not only known for its electronic music – it was also where the foundation for some DJ careers was laid.
