"Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair," it is said there, when the great tower of Berleburg Castle comes into view among streams, meadows, and forests. It is a real eye-catcher when travelers pass by the historic Baroque building, which today serves as a venue for cultural events such as castle concerts. And what is that little half-timbered house with slate roofing and red shutters, located right at the edge of the beech forest? Now all that’s missing is the music, and the Bremen Town Musicians could easily have moved in here. Locals call it the "Christkindhaus."
