Book recommendation for kids: "Wilbur and Charlotte" by E. B. White

LiteratureBook recommendationsKinderkram
A pig named Wilbur, a girl named Fern, and a clever spider named Charlotte - these three protagonists make E. B. White's children's book a touching story about friendship and courage. And a wonderful read-aloud book.

That Wilbur is even in the world, he owes to Fern: He was a very weak, small baby, and she raised him with a bottle. When he is later sold to a farm, Fern visits daily. However, finding friends on the farm is not so easy. Wilbur has to endure some disappointments until he finds a true friend: the spider Charlotte.

The two complement each other perfectly: Where Wilbur is full of joyful eagerness and sometimes too impetuous, Charlotte's caution and wisdom prove themselves. Together, they experience all sorts of adventures and excitement – whether with the other animals on the farm or at the fair…

For children aged eight and up. Published by Diogenes Verlag.
